A salt scrub is basically meant to make your skin feel nice and soft. Because salt has some natural relaxing and soothing properties and it also escalates the circulation and flow of blood. It also help to remove your dead skin. Usually they cost us a lot when going to buy from the market. So today we are going to tell you how to make your own salt scrub at home. It is pretty simple and handy to make. Just a few common house hold things are going to be used in the making process which is damn easy to perform.

Sea Salt DIY Body Scrub

Ingredients:

First of all we are going to arrange ½ cup of oil. It would be better if you use sweet almond, grapeseed or any other oil that is light textured. Bear one thing in mind. You can not go for simple cooking oil from your pantry because it might have harmful effects on your skin.

Now you need one whole cup of sea salt, preferably baleine would be a great choice to go for. It would be even great if you go through some experimental process with different textures to find out what suits your skin. But once again let me make it crystal clear, you must not opt the simple iodized table salt because it is so damn harsh for your skin. If you have a sensitive skin, make a sugar scrub which is gentler relatively.

Now finally you need 5 to 15 drops of high quality essential oils. Now you can choose one for your skin accordingly as lavender is pretty relaxing, lemongrass is refreshing while rosemary is escalating or stimulating.

Preparation:

Now take some simple bowl, put the salt in it. Now add the oil and mix it gently with the help of a spoon or even a wooden stick. Now keep in mind that the texture should be moist enough to hold together, but must not be excessively oily. So you can adjust the amounts of oil and salt to gain this texture. Now tap in the drops of essential oils and mix them well. And now it is all ready to be used. If you are interested in aromatherapy then you can add oranges with some crushed clove at Christmas time. Not only the texture, but you would also love the fragrance or aroma of your salt scrub.
